Motherjane is one great band. Though they have just 2 albums to their name, the music is just too awesome that one can listen to the same 2 albums over and over again. The lyrics are also brilliant.

Anyways, here are 8 lines from the song Maktub, which have a lot of meaning.

Coz half empty, half full
It’s all inside your head
& sometimes what we think is the truth,
is just a matter of context.
You see, we’re blessed with choices.
we fear what we don’t understand.
Life ends, that makes it beautiful.
God knows, so he lives in the mortal man..

I was privileged enough to watch them perform at Saarang, 2009.

I like motherjane because of their lyrics and Indian guitar riffs. They have such powerful lyrics. Its like they’re trying to reach a whole new different level as musicians. You know..other than the fame and all that.
I like Broken and Fields of Sound a lot =)
